The Conversation
9"x7" pastel pencils on light sienna Pastelmat
This was painted for the A Day Not Wasted January challenge. In retrospect I notice that the perspective of the open door has gone a bit awry. Unfortunately I have already forwarded my entry, but I will correct the error. I call it " The Conversation". My husband calls it "Out for a Drag." !!!

This was the December Challenge from A Day Not Wasted . A very unusual subject for me. Completely out of my comfort zone, but once I got started I really enjoyed the challenge. I don't like the tree bottom right, but decided not to fiddle.

Irish Actor
These pictures were in response to the A Day Not Wasted October challenge. I first did a gel pen sketch, then a pastel pencil portrait on UArt 800 pastel card. The portrait is 7" square.

OLD BARN 2
Oil on prepared MDF
15.5" x 9.5"
This picture was painted for the A Day Not Wasted June challenge, but I missed the deadline and posted a pen and ink sketch instead. This is my first painting in oils. It took a bit of getting used to from the drying point of view, but otherwise I quite enjoyed painting it.

THE OLD BARN

I sketched this painting in pen for my husband's birthday card. I have posted it on the A Day Not Wasted June challenge. I have also started to paint it in oils, for the colours are great.

ADNW November Challenge
This was sketched for ADNW, with a black gel pen, which unfortunately turned out to be water soluble. I had planned for it to be pen and coloured wash, but it would have turned muddy.
