I painted this for the current competition organised by Jacksons Art jointly with the Artist and the Leisure Painter magazines. I have three other paintings I'd like to enter, (posted on 30/1/2011 and 11/3/2013) but I am not sure about terms and conditions.

This was difficult to photograph. There actually is more green in the petals of the original painting.

FOREST MIST

I had a very annoying experience a few days ago. I came across Tim Gagnon's paintings including a set of tree paintings which I fell in love with. I found a time lapsed video on You Tube and decided I must have a go. These are the results. The irritating thing was that when I visited his site the very next day (Jan 23rd ) he had completely renewed his site, and the set of paintings that I was so interested in had completely disappeared!

The Conversation

This was painted for the  A Day Not Wasted  January challenge. In retrospect I notice that the perspective of the open door has gone a bit awry. Unfortunately I have already forwarded my entry, but I will correct the error. I call it " The Conversation". My husband calls it "Out for a Drag." !!!

PASTEL PORTRAIT

I decided that I would like to practise pastel portraits. I came upon a photograph of this beautiful girl whilst browsing images on the internet. Her head decorations were not very clear so I have added my own interpretation.
